A CBI officer stated on Thursday that the psychoanalytic evaluation of Sanjay Roy, the accused in the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, has indicated that he is a “pervert and heavily addicted to pornography.” The officer further noted that Roy possesses an “animal-like instinct” and exhibited no signs of remorse during the interrogation regarding the brutal murder that occurred within the premises of the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

The individual exhibited no signs of remorse and recounted the entire incident with meticulous detail, displaying no hesitation. It seemed he felt no regret, the officer informed the agency.
The doctor from Kolkata had taken a break in the seminar hall of the hospital during her extended 36-hour shift when the assault occurred. According to the post-mortem report, she was both raped and brutally beaten. She sustained 16 external injuries and nine internal injuries, ultimately succumbing to strangulation.
Sanjay Roy was apprehended the day following the incident. He was observed entering the premises at approximately the time the crime occurred, and his Bluetooth headphones were discovered in proximity to the crime scene.
Numerous pornographic videos were discovered on the mobile device belonging to Sanjay Roy.
The officer indicated that both technical and scientific evidence points to the accused being at the location of the crime.
CCTV recordings captured him in the chest department at 11 am on August 8. Subsequently, at 4 am on August 9, the surveillance cameras recorded him entering the same facility.
The estimated time of the woman’s death is believed to be between 3 am and 5 am on August 9.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating whether a broader conspiracy was involved in the victim’s murder.
They have conducted several days of questioning with Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College.
The agency is considering administering polygraph tests to Sanjay Roy, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, and other individuals.
Additionally, the Kolkata Police is examining claims of financial misconduct related to Dr. Sandip Ghosh.
