Iphone – Apple Intelligence Features
Apple Intelligence features – Users of iPhones located outside the United States can now utilize the Apple Intelligence features available in iOS 18.
Users of iPhones located outside the United States can now experience Apple Intelligence features by setting their iPhone language to English (US) and adjusting Siri‘s language accordingly.
Apple Intelligence, the collection of artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities designed for Apple devices, was presented at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 on June 10. In the following weeks, the technology company based in Cupertino began to introduce various AI-driven features through iOS 18 developer beta updates, initially limited to users in the United States. However, this situation has now evolved, allowing users globally to experience some of the Apple Intelligence features in the latest iOS 18.1 developer beta 3.
Apple Intelligence on iOS 18.1
As per Apple’s release notes accompanying the third developer beta updates for iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1, iPhone users outside the United States can now access Apple Intelligence features. This is achieved by setting the iPhone’s language to English (US), along with Siri’s language settings. Previously, users were required to change their device’s region to the US to utilize Apple Intelligence, but this restriction has been lifted. According to 9to5Mac, AI-driven writing tools, including summarization, are currently only available in the English language. Additionally, users in China and the European Union reportedly still do not have access to Apple’s AI suite.
It is essential to highlight that this modification has been implemented solely with the iOS 18.1 developer beta 3 update. The staff at Gadgets 360 were unable to confirm the presence of Apple Intelligence following the recent rollout of the iOS 18 Public Beta 6 update.
Apple Intelligence Features
Apple Intelligence introduces significant enhancements to Siri, enhancing its conversational capabilities. Additionally, it is reported to include On-Screen Awareness for more effective responses. A notable recent addition is the ‘Clean Up’ feature, which functions similarly to the object removal capabilities found in other devices, such as the Google Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S24 series, allowing for the removal of objects and individuals from photographs.
Certain features of Apple Intelligence, including text-generation and formatting tools driven by ChatGPT, are anticipated to be launched later this year. It is important to note that iOS 18 is projected to be extensively released to iPhone users following the introduction of the iPhone 16 series, which is set to occur on September 9.
